I took a week off for Thanksgiving last week and I am in catch up mode. I am reading a book about Jerusalem and very intrigued at the historical progress of the city and her prophetical importance. This update is part of the message I will give in December. This is only part of the message, hope you will follow this!
Prophecy Update: November 30, 2018
I am going to focus my update on Jerusalem and the place that God puts the city for the world. The prophetic progress of history brings us to the place where Jerusalem has become the most important issue of the day. It is the center of many of the conflicts that the nations of the world articulate. Many nations are in lock step on this issue. They say that the conflict of the Palestinian people with Israel is because no two state solution exists. God says that there is only a One State Solution to the problems of the world. Satan has the world in the throes of his deception, he has convinced the nations to solve the problem with a two state solution.
President Donald Trump is working on a peace deal for the Middle East and it will be a two state solution. Russia has just waded in on the issue as they have in the past. They have reached out to Hamas, the terrorist group, to try to get peace talks going on a two state solution. The UN just had a conference where an employee of CNN preached on the evils of Israel for the whole world to hear. At the same time another country announced that they are moving their embassy to Jerusalem.
The scriptures are clear about our relationship with Jerusalem. Psalm 122 says, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you.” I love this promise and hope that all of you will pray this prayer for what God is doing in our day. Psalm 125:2, “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.” What a promise from God. Are you God’s people? Then you can pray this as a promise. Psalm 128:5, “The LORD bless you from Zion, And may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.” I have seen the prosperity of Jerusalem. It is fascinating to see what God has done the past 100 years. Jerusalem has gone from a small, inconsequential city to a major city of the world. The statistics are amazing. We live in special times that most people do not appreciate or have knowledge of! Psalm 132: 13-14, “For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation. This is My resting place forever; Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.” The fullest expression of this promise will be experienced when the New Jerusalem comes down out of heaven. In the millennium we will see this partially fulfilled when Jesus builds the temple prophesied about in Ezekiel 40-48!
The promise from God that most bears on our day is in Zechariah 12:3, “It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” Today we see the nations of the world gathered against Jerusalem and Israel at the UN. The UN just had a conference which is the epitome of this sin talked about in Zechariah. God has made Jerusalem a heavy stone by making it the capital of Israel. The world does not accept this.
Israel made Jerusalem its capital on July 30th 1980 when they signed into law the Basic Law regarding Jerusalem. The world said this was a violation of international law. When Israel conquered Jerusalem in the Six Day war, they began fulfilling the Word of the Lord regarding Jerusalem. God prophesied that after a time of expulsion for the Jews, He would bring them back to their capital. It happened in 1967. The world at the time rejected what God had done and wrote an international law—UN Resolution 242. This resolution has been used to try to force Israel from all territory gained in the war. This would include Jerusalem. Israel will never leave Jerusalem, her government the Knesset is in Jerusalem, her supreme court, the Prime Ministers house, and the Holocaust Museum documenting the attempt to annihilate Jews from the earth. Israel will not leave Jerusalem and they are going to keep the city undivided and under their control. This is what God wants and Satan wants to destroy Israel.
Since 1967 and 1980, the world has moved towards pushing Israel out of Jerusalem and the USA has moved closer to the Israeli position. Why? Because of all of the Christians in America that love Israel and the Word of God! President Ronald Reagan said of Res.242, “We remain convinced that Jerusalem must remain undivided but its final status should be decided through negotiations.” (Sept.1 1982) When Israel was getting ready to sign the Basic Law in 1980, the UN prepared a sneak attack on Israel by passing UN Resolution 476 which says, “all legislative and administration measures and actions taken by Israel the occupying power which purport to alter the character and status of the Holy City of Jerusalem have no legal validity and constitute a flagrant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention.” Now notice what has happened in the USA.

The news wires had this story in November: “US vetoes UN’s annual condemnation of Israel.” The United States for the first time voted against an annual U.N. resolution condemning Israeli control over the Golan Heights at the world body. The decision by the United States to change its stance on the resolution, after previously voting for years to abstain, may be part of a broader shift in American policy towards the Golan Heights. Vetoes of other resolutions may become more common.
The resolution was adopted in a U.N. General Assembly committee by a vote of 151 to 2, with only the U.S. and Israel voting against measure, while other 14 countries abstained on Friday. The resolution, known as “The Occupied Syrian Golan,” is a non-binding measure that is voted on by the U.N. General Assembly’s Third Committee every year that condemns the “illegality of the decision” by Israel “to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the occupied Syrian Golan.”
America officially changed everything regarding Israel when we moved our embassy there earlier this year. The days of voting against Gods will regarding Jerusalem and the Golan Heights are over. Yet, they are only over as long as President Trump is president. The rest of our government is against the President and Christians and Jews who believe that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel and the center of the world! Wikipedia had this about that decision:
Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital was rejected by a majority of world leaders. The United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting on 7 December where 14 out of 15 members condemned Trump’s decision, but the motion was vetoed by the United States.[5] Britain, France, Sweden, Italy and Japan were among the countries who criticized Trump’s decision at the emergency meeting.[6] Other countries supported the move: Guatemala said that they will follow up and also relocate their embassy; Paraguay, the Czech Republic, Romania and Honduras said that they were considering relocation.
This has heated up in recent days. “CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill spoke on Wednesday at the opening meeting of the United Nations commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People where he urged for the elimination of Israel.” I watched the speech from Wednesday and was horrified that at the UN someone could ask for the elimination of the Jews! Hill said things like, ‘I just came from Palestine and I did not drink Jewish water as he drank New York water—condemned the Basic Law regarding the nation state of Israel being Jewish and Hebrew being the official language. He railed against the settlement movement. Ezekiel 36-37 tells us that the settlement program is God’s work and He is moving the Jews back to Israel as He promised!
What Hill said next should sends shivers down our spines but he only is saying what Satan wants. He said, “what we need is powerful, counterintuitive, dangerous, and courageous words,…. we need more than words, …..Hill then encouraged those in the international sphere to engage in boycotts, divestments, and sanctions against Israel until which point it allows a Palestinian State on the pre-1967 borders. Hill ended his speech saying, “We have an opportunity to not just offer solidarity in words, but to commit to political action, grass-roots action, local action and international action that will give us what justice requires, and that is a free Palestine from the river to the sea.” ‘From the river to the sea’ is the phrase used to teach people that they are really for the elimination of Israel from the face of the earth! The consistent theme of the UN meetings were that Israel and the USA are the problem, not the terrorism from the Muslim groups. Anti-Semitism does not exist in their world.
On Tuesday, during an interview with The Washington Post, President Trump declared, “We wish to remain in the Middle East region for our interests and for Israel.” It is the attitude of the President that is the problem in the world. The Post went on to say: “It is once again apparent that President Trump has a deeply felt and unwavering tie to the Jewish state and the safety and viability of her citizens. His profuse commitment to Israel, and thus the Jewish people, is singular among Presidents. It is astoundingly genuine.”
The problem for Satan in the world today are all of the Christians and Jews who support Israel and the return. The return is to all of the land of Israel and so Israel will get all of the land. This is infuriating to a world run by people who are controlled by Satan. Thank God that CNN had the sense to fire Lamont Hill but they are still pushing the anti-land of Israel, God ordained return to the land. Eph.2:1 says of the people hating on God’s control of history that they are dead in their sins and trespasses because they follow the ‘prince of the power of the air’ that is Satan. Pray for these people to come to know Jesus and bow before the king of the universe who alone has the right to give the land of Israel back to Israel for the end days!
