Prophecy Update: Anti-Semitism 2019 3/8/19
The increasing demonstration of anti-Semitism in our government and culture is a serious reflection of the sinfulness of our culture. God teaches us that in the last days the love of many will grow cold. This is certainly true of peoples attitude regarding Jews. When the Holocaust happened nearly 74 years ago who could have imagined that there are those who want to finish the job. Iran and her many proxy groups write and broadcast their desire to kill every Jew in the world. Turkey is seeking a 5 Million man ‘Army of Islam’ to wipe Israel off the map. France is experiencing the exodus of Jews like never before. Boko Haram, Al Qaida, Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah, ISIS, and many other groups openly express their hatred of Jews and their desire to kill every Jew in the world. What do all of these groups have in common?
The Bible is clear that anti-Semitism will increase in the last days. The world will line up against Israel going back to her land. Psalm 83:4 adequately expresses what many feel today: “Come let us wipe them out as a nation that the name of Israel will be remembered no more.”
Ezekiel 36:8-9 tells us God’s view of what is going to happen. “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, ‘I have sworn that surely the nations which are around you will themselves endure their insults. ‘But you, O mountains of Israel, you will put forth your branches and bear your fruit for My people Israel; for they will soon come.
Israel has come into much of her land but still needs to come back to more of the land. There are large parts of Judea and Samaria that do not resemble what God said He will do. Consider Ezekiel 36:10, ‘I will multiply men on you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities will be inhabited and the waste places will be rebuilt.
All of the House of Israel is not inhabited by Jews nor is it in their hands. Israel will at some point take all of her land.
Democrats support many anti-Israel movements (BDS, Iran, Palestinian Authority and there narrative). They support people who support anti-Semitism. USA Today had this article dealing with this problem. “Will an increasingly progressive Democratic Party become steadily more anti-Semitic?” This article was written on Feb.14. This is important as we examine what happened in the last week. What happened has exposed how the younger Democrats are rebelling against the older leaders like Nancy Pelosi. The older leaders are being pushed to embrace anti-Semitism.
“Progressives see Israel as an occupying power, an apartheid state, illegitimate. The Democratic Party’s civil war flared anew this week with a battle on the Israeli front. Freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., made headlines with a Twitter outburst that criticized Israel backers, which was widely seen as anti-Semitic. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer echoed other party leaders when he called her comments “offensive and irresponsible.” Omar apologized, claiming ignorance of the “painful history of anti-Semitic tropes” — as if she had never heard them before, or been exposed to them her entire life? The now trendy Democratic Socialists of America have even called for Israel to be eliminated.”
Many democrats have followed anti-Semites for many years like Louis Farrakhan. Freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., wrote for Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam newsletter The Final Call in 2006. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez from New York supports the BDS movement and calls Israel the occupiers of Palestine. Talib says that Rep. Omar has not said anything anti-Semitic. Huh? The cover up of the anti-Semitism in the Democratic party has begun. The cover up is being pushed by three freshman representatives who were given key seats on important congressional committees. How did they rise to such power in so short a time. Something is brewing.
U.S. HOUSE PASSES RESOLUTION CONDEMNING ANTISEMITISM
The resolution passed on Thursday, 407-23, in the US House of Representatives, with Ilhan Omar’s support. An Evangelical leader is calling out Omar, she said: “Ilhan Omar is waging an unholy war against the Jewish people from Congress,” said Cardoza-Moore. “She is about to learn that the Jewish people don’t stand alone, millions of people of faith and conscience stand with the Jewish people. We will neither sleep nor slumber as she uses the heart of American democracy and freedom to defame God’s chosen people and God’s chosen land.”
Cardoza-Moore laid out specific charges against Omar, despite an apology that the Democratic Representative from Minnesota was supposedly forced to give, under pressure from the Democratic Party leadership – including Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.
“Ilhan Omar tricked her electorate into voting for her by lying about her support for Israel,” Cardoza-Moore maintained. “She supports the destruction of the State of Israel and is a virulent antisemite with close connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. As American patriots and people of faith, we cannot afford to standby as she continues to sow religious hatred. Proclaiming Justice to The Nations has launched a nationwide petition demanding her immediate resignation. We will continue to act as a firewall around the Jewish people, whenever Jew hatred arises, because their God is our God and their values are our values.”
Omar’s animus toward Israel and Jews has a long germination period. She tweeted in 2012, during the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza, that “Israel had hypnotized the world.” Her latest remarks two weeks ago, referred to an ancient anti-Jewish prejudice about their control of money – particularly in reference to AIPAC and its alleged hold over members of Congress.
Here is the problem in the Democratic Party. They could not find it in their hearts to just vote against ant-Semitism. They watered it down. Although the final vote was 407-23, several members voted against it because it watered down the stand against anti-Semitism. For example, Louis Gohmert from Texas: “Anti-Semitism is a very special kind of hatred that should never be watered down,” Gohmert said. “There has never been a persecution of a people like the Jewish people.”
But many rank-and-file Democrats objected to their leaders’ effort to respond to that remark with a resolution rejecting the myth of dual loyalty and condemning anti-Semitism. They said it unfairly attacked Omar when President Donald Trump and others have regularly espoused hateful rhetoric.
This is the problem with the left, they want to control a narrative which is more important than the truth. The truth of Omar’s anti-Semitism had to be covered up so they can focus the attention on Pres. Trump. It is always about calling the President evil, which is more important than someone who is actually anti-Semitic. Protecting Omar was the goal. They accomplished their goal. Are you ready to protect Jews from these evil people? I hope so.
There is a movement to try to get Jews to leave the Democratic party. Arutz Sheva spoke with Elizabeth Pipko, a 23-year-old Jewish figure skater-turned-model, who recently launched the ‘’JEXODUS’ movement, calling for a “mass Jewish exodus from the Democratic party” Allegations that Omar peddled in anti-Semitism – drawing the rebuke of the Anti-Defamation League – and the Democratic party’s challenges in addressing the scandal have placed some Jewish supporters of the party in a quandary. In an interview with Arutz Sheva, Pipko said the new JEXODUS movement hoped to offer venues and public forums for young Jews disenchanted with the Democratic party to “stand up for their beliefs”. “I’ve had it in my mind for a long time. I think we saw it in the Obama presidency, the turn towards anti-Israel policies, accompanied by a rise in anti-Semitism in our country. And its only gotten worse, and right now we have anti-Semitism in the halls of Congress. So if not now, when?”
I have never in my life seen so many people stand up and defend anti-Semitism in the congress. What has happened to our country? Pipka said: “The rise of anti-Israel movements, including the BDS movement, which is mostly supported by Democrats. Things like the Iran deal, which was signed with the support of Democrats. There are plenty of reasons. But I think that now, more than ever, the Democrats have given us a reason. They are basically supporting blatant anti-Semitism in Congress. I think if there’s any time you can feel comfortable and powerful enough as a Jew to walk away, that’s now.”
It is a sad day in America. We know that eventually every nation has to come against Israel. I just hoped that it would not have happened in my lifetime. Make no mistake about it—there is a move to attack Israel in our congress. They hate the support that Israel has in America. Evangelicals will also be attacked for our support of Israel.
