Prophecy Update: The Peace Treaty that will fail! 6/27/19
I am always concerned when a president tries to bring peace between Israel and the Palestinians. It has failed every time and it will fail again. I want to give you some historical background of past peace deals that have failed. Then I will look at the new one that will also fail. The major reason they fail is because they do not have the Word of God as the basis and foundation of their deal. The Bible is very clear that no one, besides God, will bring peace between Israel and the world. Jesus is the one who will bring the peace and He will do it by war!! He will come with a rod of iron, and fight at Armageddon, and win. Everyone will bow down to Him. Psalm 110 is repeated many times in the NT and the heart of the passage is war. Jesus and the Father will fight. In vs.5 God says, He will shatter kings in the day of His wrath! The list of peace deals comes from a history website. I will site the peace deal and then comment on them.
UN Security Council Resolution 242, 1967
“Resolution 242 was passed on 22 November 1967 and embodies the principle that has guided most of the subsequent peace plans – the exchange of land for peace.”
Israel is being asked to go back to the 1967 lines in every peace deal and it will never happen. God promised to give this land back to Israel and they will not relinquish it. Amos 9:15, ‘I will also plant them on their land and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given to them.’
Camp David Accords, 1978
“Under Jimmy Carter, the US oversaw the first Arab-Israeli peace treaty. There were several peace plans following the 1967 war, but nothing happened until after the 1973 Yom Kippur or October War. There followed a new mood for peace, as shown by a historic visit to Jerusalem by the Egyptian President, Anwar Sadat, in November 1977.”
After 1967, the Arab nations prepared to go to war again and kill the Jews. They failed in 73 and realized they were not going to beat Israel in a conventional war. Since 1973, the way to beat Israel was through terrorism. (Assymetrical Warfare which they learned from communist Russia and China) Anwar Sadat made peace with Israel and was assassinated by the Muslim Brotherhood for it.
The Madrid Conference, 1991
“This conference, co-sponsored by the US and the Soviet Union, was designed to follow up the Egypt-Israel treaty (1978) by encouraging other Arab countries to sign their own agreements with Israel.”
This peace deal went nowhere. Now the Muslims had the plan to use terrorism against the Jews. Israel went through many intifadas, these caused them to become hardened and protect themselves from the murderers. The Soviet Uniion supported every group who would kill Jews. Their money and influence fueled Arab aggression against Israel. Just as they did it then, so Russia is fueling the Muslim hatred of Israel again!
Oslo Agreement, 1993
“Israel and the PLO came to terms, but Oslo’s promise was not realized. The Oslo negotiations tried to tackle the missing element of all previous talks – a direct agreement between Israelis and Palestinians, represented by the PLO. Its importance was that there was finally mutual recognition between Israel and the PLO.”
This had to be the worse peace deal in history. When we say peace, peace, when there is no peace, this peace deal is that in spades. The PLO lied constantly and encouraged more terrorism against the Jewish state. Jerusalem was still on the table when Israel said it will never be on the table! Just as the Bible predicted.
Camp David, 2000
“Various attempts were made (including at Taba in 1995, Wye River in 1998 and Sharm el-Sheikh in 1999) to speed up the withdrawal and self-government provisions of Oslo. Then in 2000, President Bill Clinton sought to address the final status issues – including borders, Jerusalem and refugees – that Oslo had left aside for later negotiation.”
This peace deal was a joke—Ehud Barak tried to give away 92% of Judea and Samaria and that was not enough for Yassir Arafat. Israel would have withdrawn from 63 settlements and moved out of their land, land God gave them. God cursed this from the beginning and it failed miserably. Barak even tried to give away Jerusalem.
Arab Peace Initiative, 2002
“The building of Jewish settlements on occupied land is a key issue in the talks. After the failure of bilateral talks and the resumption of conflict, the Saudi peace plan presented at an Arab summit in Beirut in March 2002 went back to a multi-lateral approach and in particular signaled a desire by the Arab world as a whole to put an end to this dispute.”
This is an important initiative because the Arab nations keep coming back to it and pushing it. The last time was in 2017. Again, it is asking Israel to give up land that they will never give back, including the Golan Heights. This initiative led to the next one in 2003.
Roadmap, 2003
“The roadmap is a plan drawn up by the “Quartet” – the United States, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations. It does not lay down the details of a final settlement, but suggests how a settlement might be approached. It followed efforts made by US Senator George Mitchell to get the peace process back on track in 2001.”
This peace deal led to the Jews moving their people out of the Gaza Strip and giving the Palestinians sovereignty over that strip of land. What did they do with it? They use it as a base to launch attacks on Israel. Hamas rules in the Gaza Strip and they have one goal—kill Jews and destroy the state of Israel. If you remember correctly, as they were forcing Jews out of their homes, God sent a hurricane to the USA called Katrina. President Bush made a fatal mistake—dividing the land of Israel will always bring the judgment of God on a nation.
Annapolis, 2007
“Annapolis envisioned a full peace deal by the end of 2008. Late in his second presidential term, US President George W Bush hosted a conference at the US Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland aimed at relaunching the peace process.”
President Bush could not get the hint from God that He did not want a peace deal. Bush had to try one more time and it went up in flames pretty quickly. Thank God that President Obama could not even get a peace conference off the ground. In that time, Israel has grown more settlements and taken over more land. Just as God said would happen! Mahmoud Abbas became the president of the PA in 2005, here is his bio. It tells you all you need to know: Abbas entered graduate studies at the Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow, where he earned a Candidate of Sciences degree (the Soviet equivalent of a PhD). His doctoral dissertation was “The Other Side: The Secret Relationship Between Nazism and Zionism”, a conspiracy theory about the Holocaust.
Trump plan—2019
“The 40-page Peace to Prosperity economic plan, unveiled by the White House on Saturday ahead of this week’s Palestinian-focused economic workshop in Bahrain, is packed with proposals for unleashing the Palestinians’ potential. It comes with an accompanying 96-page “programs and projects” document that details the plan’s intended $50 billion regional economic overhaul down to the last dollar earmarked for everything from re-training programs to road repairs. But it makes no mention of a two-state solution. It does not speak of Palestinian statehood.” (The Times of Israel)
Why is it that Americans always think that money will solve every problem? President Trump wants to appeal to the needs of the Palestinians when this is a supernatural/spiritual problem. As soon as the plan was published Saturday 6/22, the Palestinians rejected it. Improving the economic status of the Palestinians is not going to stop them from believing in the Muslim teaching on Dar Al Islam and Dar Al Harab! Dar Al Islam is the territory of Allah, conquered by Muslims. Dar Al Harab is the territory of war. All nations that are not under the Muslim Caliphate are the territory of war. It is even doubly bad when Muslim territory was taken over by the infidels. Israeli’s are infidels on Muslim land and need to be eradicated! This belief is part of the deepest convictions of Muslims. No amount of money is going to change that!!
Scripture is clear, the land and the people of Israel are awaiting a final assault from Satan and all of the nations he has inspired. Evil and supernatural forces are working in the nations, inspiring to hate Israel. The video we are watching ends with this quote: “To the Jew who has lost hope in His Covenant keeping creator, to the church who has deflated the crown of the Jewish Messiah, to the Jihadis who are desperate to steal the inheritance from Isaac’s son, this is not the end of the story.” Jesus will save all of Israel and Jerusalem will be the capital of the world.
