Prophecy Update: Zephaniah and World War 4! 4/9/2020
Its Thursday morning 4/9/2020 and I am reflecting on what Mike Pompeo and President Trump said last night. Both confronted the World Health Organization for their deception and failures regarding the coronavirus. The conflict is heating up. More tension and strife will result from the failures of China and the World Health Organization. This update is about this conflict!
The prophet Zephaniah lived during the days of Josiah King of Judah. He was living during a time of peace but prophesied war. God told Zephaniah that war with Babylon would destroy his country and to anticipate a much bigger war. Someday God would bring a war that would encompass the whole earth. I am calling that war ‘World War IV!
Zephaniah 3:8 “Therefore wait for Me,” declares the LORD, “for the day when I rise up as a witness. Indeed, My decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out on them My indignation, all My burning anger; for all the earth will be devoured by the fire of My zeal.”
Wait for Me. That is an interesting request from the God of the universe. For the better part of 30 years, I have been waiting for the LORD, anticipating World War 4 as a ‘watchman on the wall.’ Waiting includes studying, observing, pursuing, anticipating, and dreaming of a day that will bring about the end times Jesus promised would come! Word War 4 is called the ‘Day of the LORD’ in the Bible. Zephaniah 1:14-15 describes the ‘Day of the Lord’:
“Near is the great day of the LORD, near and coming very quickly; listen, the day of the LORD!
In it the warrior cries out bitterly. A day of wrath is that day, a day of trouble and distress, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness.”
We have witnessed two world wars in the last 100 years. I believe the Cold War was World War 3. What has fascinated me are the parallels between the time before WW2 and our day. We who sit on the precipice of WW4 are experiencing the same defects that led to WW2.
First Defect: Pacifist leaders
In the 1930’s, pacifist leaders dominated much of Europe and the USA. As Nazi Germany rose to power, it was evident that they were going to start a war. Neville Chamberlain was Prime Minister of Britain and he is the poster child for appeasement. Here is a quote from the Imperial War Museum:
“Instituted in the hope of avoiding war, appeasement was the name given to Britain’s policy in the 1930s of allowing Hitler to expand German territory unchecked. Most closely associated with British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, it is now widely discredited as a policy of weakness. Yet at the time, it was a popular and seemingly pragmatic policy.”
One man who was not a pacifist was Winston Churchill. Churchill spent much of the 1930s warning about the dangers of Nazi Germany. At one point, his warnings were so intense that some in parliament wanted to put him in an insane asylum. In September 1939 Germany invaded Poland and everything changed for Churchill. The attack started World War 2, a struggle that Churchill would later call “The Unnecessary War.” Churchill led Britain to victory and the pacifists took a backseat to those who had courage.
Today, we have pacifists in the American government who appease China. The State Department has appeased communist China for 50 years. The policy of engagement attempted to use economics to move China away from Marxist totalitarianism to democratic freedom. That has been an utter failure!! Along the way, one man has been warning us that China is at war with the USA. Bill Gertz has been warning America for 30 years that China is preparing to destroy the USA. Enter the Coronavirus. The spread of this virus has brought on a tidal wave of criticism towards communist China. All of a sudden, people want blood. Here are a few examples.
Pressure grows to hold China accountable for pandemic. WND 4/6/2020.
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark. contends, “China must face a “reckoning” from the United States and other global powers after the pandemic appears to be under control.” Lawsuits and talk of sanctions have begun to hold the communist nation accountable for the global spread of the virus. Cotton already has proposed legislation to encourage drug companies to pull their plants out of China. The State Journal Register in the Illinois capital reported state Rep. C.D. Davidsmeyer says, “China must pay for coronavirus damages.” He called for Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul to begin litigation against China for damages. Larry Klayman, founder of Freedom Watch, has filed a federal lawsuit seeking $20 trillion in damages from China for the coronavirus. President Trump and Sec. of Defense, Mike Pompeo are not pacifists and they will not appease China. This is going to make things very interesting in the next few weeks.
As you can see, many are using this pandemic as a way to highlight the true nature of the Chinese government. Bill Gertz wrote a book about this in 2000 called:

SEPTEMBER 6, 2019, Washington Free Beacon senior editor Bill Gertz said on Thursday that China is the “real existential” threat the United States faces right now. Gertz said China is waging a multifronted war on the United States, attacking it in areas of trade as well as in areas of national security, with ramped-up military efforts in “space weaponry, cyber-attacks, and intelligence operations.” “I’ve basically been really beating the drum to highlight this threat from China, which I think is going to take all of America’s resources to confront and really mitigate this threat,” he said. Gertz is not a pacifist, don’t you agree? This is important because the second defect is worse than the first.
Second Defect: Spiritual Apathy
Communist China is at war with God. The official stand of communism is atheism. Communists like it when there are no rivals for the peoples love and adoration. The current leader of China is
Xi Jingping who acts as if he is god. Here is a quote about the current conditions for Christians in China from the Gospel Coalition:
“In 2019, the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) noted that as a Christian in China, your Bible may have been rewritten by the Chinese government, your church shuttered or demolished, and your pastor imprisoned. In an ongoing effort to “sinicize” religious belief (i.e., make religious belief Chinese in character), the communist Chinese government arrested more than 5,000 Christians and 1,000 church leaders. The government also continued its persecution by closing down or demolishing thousands of churches.” Christians were instructed to put up a picture of President Xi and take down any pictures of Jesus. Seriously!
If you need a reason for God sending judgment on the world, here is a quote that will truly shock you:
“In 1971 the Communist government implemented a one-child policy in the country. In 2013—two years before officially ending the policy, the Chinese Health Ministry reported that over the four decades 336 million abortions were performed—the largest single slaughter of human beings in the history of the world.” God is against the spilling of innocent blood. The Chinese have blood on their hands, as do all of the nations that murder babies through abortion.
Zephaniah brings up spiritual apathy in Zeph.1:12, it says
“It will come about at that time that I will search Jerusalem with lamps, And I will punish the men
who are stagnant in spirit, who say in their hearts, ‘the LORD will not do good or evil!’
Many are saying that God did not send the virus. They are wrong! How can a virus spread around the world and God not have any part? Is the virus killing people? Psalm 139:16 tells us that God wrote in a book all the days of our lives before there were one of them. God is in control of life and death-He sent the virus to be the means of death for many people. Is the virus causing conflict in the nations? It is God who raises up nations and brings them down. Is the virus causing the economy to tank? Daniel 2:21 says that “He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” Nothing in this world happens by random chance! God has warned the nations and the nations refuse to listen and repent.
Back to World War 2—the USA and Britain depended on the USSR to help us win against Germany because of apathy and appeasement. In 1942, a cartoon appeared in Moscow. The cartoon showed a soldier of the Red Army kicking off the earth three old men named, God, Pope, and Capitalism. Beijing preaches the same thing every day! China is spreading the false narrative that their government is superior in dealing with coronavirus crises. Unfortunately, many countries will fall for the lie. Communists always lie! I see this as an advancement of antichristian and anti-Semitic philosophies rooted in Marxism.
The challenge for our country is to stand firm in the face of Communist aggression. Will we act in apathy and appeasement or will we stand firm? Will the country come together in truth and spiritual health? We need to go back to the ancient paths—our rights come from God and our nation is depended on the grace and mercy of God. Will the country come back? There are signs that some are standing up. Here is an example:
“This is one of the worst cover-ups in human history, and now the world is facing a global pandemic,” Rep. Michael T. McCaul, Texas Republican and ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said last week. Mr. McCaul has said China should be held accountable for the pandemic.” The President and Sec. of Defense are both strongly opposing China and it is about to get more serious. Mike Pompeo spoke about the Chinese at the Governor’s meeting in February and what he had to say sent chills down my spine. Here is an excerpt:
“I was invited to an event co-hosted by the National Governors Association and something called the Chinese People’s Association For Friendship and Foreign Countries. Sounds pretty harmless. What the invitation did not say is that the group – the group I just mentioned – is the public face of the Chinese Communist Party’s official foreign influence agency, the United Front Work Department. Indeed, last year, a Chinese Government-backed think tank in Beijing produced a report that assessed all 50 of America’s governors on their attitudes towards China. They labeled each of you “friendly,” “hardline,” or “ambiguous.” The Attorney General, too, talked yesterday about something called the “Thousand Talents Plan.” It’s a plan to recruit scientists and professors to transfer the know-how we have here to China in exchange for enormous paydays. The program has probably targeted campuses in your state. Indeed, the Department of Justice has indicted professors in my home state at the University of Kansas and at Virginia Tech and at Harvard.”
Pompeo went onto talk about all of the ways that they are tracking, spying and attacking those who are Chinese spies. He confronted those governors who are pro-China—I think the Trump Administration is at war with the traitors in our country. I cannot tell you how encouraging this speech was.
China’s Fake News: Its ‘Superior System’ Defeats Coronavirus by Gordon G. Chang

“To push America aside and seize global leadership, China got Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the World Health Organization, to say that China’s response to the coronavirus showed the “superiority of the Chinese system and this experience is worthy of emulation by other countries.” According to the director general, communism is the superior system!
The USA is at war and the press is intentionally blind to what is happening. They are so anti-Trump, dedicated to pacifism, and committed to apathy, that they refuse to see that China wants to turn the USA into a totalitarian state. Trump and Pompeo are using the World Health Organization as a way to educate America about the war. Jesus talked about these days when He said, Mat.24:6-7,
“You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not the end.
