Prophecy Update: World Government and the Ten Toes 6/19/2020
I have always been fascinated by the prophecy of Daniel 2. God describes world history using a statue. When King Nebuchadnezzar was sleeping, the Lord showed him what would take place in the future. Daniel 2:31 describes the dream like this:
“You, O king, were looking and behold, there was a single great statue; that statue, which was large and of extraordinary splendor, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was awesome.”
When King Nebuchadnezzar woke up, he demanded his advisors tell him the dream and the interpretation. This demand assured the king that the interpretation would be supernatural and from a god. The advisors were stunned and said:
“There is not a man on earth who could declare the matter for the king, inasmuch as no great king or ruler has ever asked anything like this of any magician, conjurer or Chaldean.” Daniel 2:10
God engineered the circumstances so He could choose Daniel to give the king what he wanted. If someone could tell you what you dreamt last night and interpret the dream, would you be impressed? Daniel responded to the king:
“However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days. This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on your bed.” Daniel 2:28
Today, I want to focus on one part of the statue. The legs and feet of the statue represent the Roman Empire. The two legs of the statue describe the eastern and western branches of the Roman Empire. Today, we are living in the times of the ankles, right before the rise of the ten toes. The ten toes represent the final empire on planet earth. The empire of the ten toes lasts seven years and then Jesus will set up a kingdom that will never fail. Daniel describes this in 2:44,
“In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.”

The Prominence of the “Eastern Leg” in Bible Prophecy
English archaeologist and classical historicist Warrick Ball, in his well researched and scholarly book, ROME IN THE EAST (2016), writes,
“From its inception in 27 BC to its final collapse in May 1453, Rome was the longest-lived empire in history, with 164 emperors (including sole empresses) from Augustus to Constantine…In short, it was the world’s most successful empire.” (Pre-Tribe Research Center) The fall of Constantinople to the Muslims in 1453 was a tragedy for Russia. The reason has to do with the Roman Empire that this next article will explain.
The Byzantine History of Putin’s Russian Empire. In Vancouver in 2010 and in Sochi in 2014, however, Russia’s Olympic hockey jerseys prominently featured a two-headed eagle exactly where Canada’s jerseys highlighted the maple leaf. This two-headed eagle is not a modern invention. It is “Byzantine.” (TheConversation.com)
“The eagle was, if we travel 1,800 years back in time, the imperial symbol of the Byzantine Empire. It is still at the core of Orthodox Christianity — Greek, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian — throughout the world.” So why would Russian athletes want to wear Byzantine eagles on the crests of their uniforms? Simply put: Moscow wants to be the third Rome. When Constantinople was conquered after 11 centuries as the Roman capital, by Ottoman Turks under the leadership of Mehmed II in 1453, Russia had become a central part of the Byzantine alliance. The Russian tsar — a derivative of the Latin Caesar, or imperial ruler — assumed, or presumed, the role of the imperial head of the Roman empire.”
Fast forward to 1918. The first World War is winding down and the Czar of Russia (Caesar) and the Kaiser (Caesar) of Germany were falling. One is falling to communism and the other to the combined armies of the western branch of the Roman Empire. Byzantium matters. The Eastern branch of the Roman Empire is rising in Russia today and will attack Israel! It matters if we want to associate Russia today with imperial Russia at its zenith. It matters if we are going to see a one-world government rise.
The Western branch of the Roman Empire, led by the United States in 1918, tried to establish the New World Order through the League of Nations. It is important to notice that the 20th century was by and large the attempt to bring in the One World government of the Ten Toes.
Let’s take a brief look at the historical developments of the two legs of the Roman Empire.
The Last Act. “The chief mark of Rome was its resolute will to conquer. Will Durant, in his remarkable volumes, The History of Civilization, tells us that the Roman senate sometimes deliberately began wars in order to acquire further wealth for Rome or to quiet unrest among the plebeians and slaves at home. The Roman legions became synonymous with peace so that men boasted of what they called the Pax Romana, a peace of conquest by military might which kept everything stable and quiet throughout the Empire. Rome would stamp its image upon the entire Western world. The Roman Empire was soon divided into two portions, corresponding to the two legs of iron of this image. One division was in the West, centered in Rome; the other was in the East, with Constantinople its capital, and became the Byzantine Empire which colonized toward the north, into Russia, and into the east, to Persia, Iran and Iraq, and spread Byzantine culture all through the area.”
“In the West the empire centered on Rome. It first mastered the whole of the Mediterranean area and Western Europe and even after the fall of Rome itself continued to dominate as the kingdoms of Europe, the monarchies of France, of Germany, Spain, Great Britain and Portugal. These, in turn, began to reach into the western hemisphere after Christopher Columbus discovered the New World. The interesting thing now is that every single nation of this western hemisphere was begun by one of the nations of the Roman Empire. So we have the whole of the Western world as an extension of this mighty fourth kingdom which Daniel saw was to dominate the earth. It is stamped with the Roman image from that day to this. It is still Roman, and only recently has ceased to colonize, and thus dominate, major parts of the earth. Vast military power is characteristic of the fourth kingdom throughout its duration.” (Ray Stedman Authentic Christianity)
Since 1918, the world began a process that will eventually bring in the ten toes, the final ungodly world government. Ray Stedman continued to say about the Roman Empire,
“The legs were made of solid iron, but Daniel saw that the feet of the image were made of mingled iron and clay. What is the symbolism of this? The clay is obviously the opposite of iron. Iron symbolized an imperialistic attitude or form of government, the power and might of imperialism seeking to dominate and to rule by brute force and strength. Clay, on the other hand, is weak, pliable, easily molded. Most Bible scholars are right in identifying this as the principle of democracy.”
When President Woodrow Wilson wrote 14 points to build the ‘League of Nations’ called the ‘Treaty of Versailles’ the United States voted against joining the newly formed One World government. The League of Nations was plagued by failure after failure. The most blaring failure manifested itself in the rise of Nazi Germany and World War II.
The League of Nations (1919-1946). “Born with the will of the victors of the First World War to avoid a repeat of a devastating war, the League of Nations objective was to maintain universal peace within the framework of the fundamental principles of the Pact accepted by its Members: to develop cooperation among nations and to guarantee them peace and security.” (UNOG Library Registry, Records and Archive Unit)
This should alert you to the end time prophecy of 1 Thessalonians 5:3, “While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.”
The League of Nations failed and spawned a new organization: The United Nations.
By every measure, the United Nations is a dismal failure. The failure of the United Nations is leading to a new global government that will be led by the Antichrist. Here are a few articles that illustrate the need for the final government on earth.

In recent years, a number of countries—China and Russia, in particular—have found ways to take the kind of corruption that was previously a mere feature of their own political systems and transform it into a weapon on the global stage. The time is ripe for world government to rise. The nature of the Roman Empire necessitates colonizing the whole world into Satan’s final kingdom. That which the globalists desired from the turn of the 20th century is right before them. Who is standing in their way? — Christians and Israel! They see God giving all of the land back to Israel, so they are in full panic. Here is an article from the UN website that describes their panic:
Rights experts call for global opposition to Israel’s annexation plans. “Nearly 50 independent human rights experts are calling for the international community to oppose Israel’s plan to annex significant parts of the occupied Palestinian West Bank beginning as early as next month.” (UN News)
Zechariah 12:1-2, describes perfectly the day in which we live.
“The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him,
“Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah.”
Notice that this is the burden of the Lord. God Himself wants Israel to rise so He can bring 144,000 Jewish evangelists to the world. God Himself wants to bring the two witnesses to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. God Himself wants to bring His church home for the marriage supper of the Lamb. God Himself want to play out the final seven-year tribulation so that He can usher in His final kingdom! God Himself wrote Daniel 2, 7, and 9, telling us of the final seven-year kingdom and it ends in victory for us.
