Prophecy Update: Nov.12, 2017

It has been a mystery to me how the United States could unite themselves to evil nations. Since I became a Christian in 1974, I kept growing in my understanding of what the Lord teaches about good and evil and how nations should conduct themselves. By the time I went to college (1977), I learned that the United States was compromising its own deepest held beliefs in order to open up economic ties with evil countries. In the late 70’s and early 80’s I began to notice how America united itself economically to Russia and China as communist nations. The philosophy was, if we can engage them economically they will fall as communist nations and join America. America has done most of the compromising.

Alexander Solzhenitsyn was exiled from the USSR in 1974 and came to the United States in 1976. He made many speeches when he came to the USA and warned America, he said in 1978, “Let me remind you of a recent incident which some of you may have seen in the newspapers, although others might have missed it: Certain of your businessmen, on their own initiative, established an exhibition of criminological technology in Moscow. This was the most recent and elaborate technology, which here, in your country, is used to catch criminals, to bug them, to spy on them, to photograph them, to tail them, to identify criminals. This was taken to Moscow to an exhibition in order that the Soviet KGB agents could study it, as if not understanding what sort of criminals, who would be hunted by the KGB.”
I had known that the KGB was fanatical about wiping out the churches in Russia, they attacked Christians and showed them no mercy. I read report after report of the persecution of the Christians and the underground church in Russia and the Soviet empire. I knew that the KGB would use this technology to hunt down all enemies of communism. Solzhenitsyn went on to say, “The Soviet government was extremely interested in this technology, and decided to purchase it. And your businessmen were quite willing to sell it. Only when a few sober voices here raised an uproar against it was this deal blocked. Only for this reason it didn’t take place. But you have to realize how clever the KGB is. This technology didn’t have to stay two or three weeks in a Soviet building under Soviet guard. Two or three nights were enough for the KGB there to look through it and copy it. And if today, persons are being hunted down by the best and most advanced technology, for this, I can also thank your western capitalists.”
My heart is completely broken over the fact that America has compromised with evil nations and evil ideologies for the sake of making a buck. We have abandoned the Judeo Christian philosophy of government for a worthless socialist, atheistic view of government. Solzhenitsyn went on to say, “Through the decades of the 1920s, the 1930s, the 1940s, the 1950s, the whole Soviet press wrote: Western capitalism, your end is near.
But it was as if the capitalists had not heard, could not understand, could not believe this.
Nikita Khrushchev came here and said, “We will bury you!” They didn’t believe that, either. They took it as a joke.
Now, of course, they have become more clever in our country. Now they don’t say “we are going to bury you” anymore, now they say “detente.”
Nothing has changed in Communist ideology. The goals are the same as they were, but instead of the artless Khrushchev, who couldn’t hold his tongue, now they say “detente.”

Through all of these years, we have compromised truth for a lie in the relationships we have with China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. China still is a communist country who wants world domination for their atheistic worship of Mao. Russia has traded in her communist doctrine for dictatorship but still they want the same thing, dominate the world. Saudi Arabia wants to dominate the world for Sunni Islam willing to kill anyone in their way. To top it off, Iran wants to dominate the world for Shiite Islam and they are willing to kill anyone in their way. I believe that the compromise with these evil movements is worse now than they were in the 1970’s! Solzhenitsyn went on to say, “World democracy could have defeated one totalitarian regime after another, the German, then the Soviet. Instead, it strengthened Soviet totalitarianism, helped bring into existence a third totalitarianism, that of China, and all this finally precipitated the present world situation.” Remember that was 1978—it has only got worse. Our idea of liberty has fallen on hard times, the freedom which the Lord has blessed America with has become a curse.

Why do I write these Prophecy Updates? I write them to inform people of where we are in the progress of Gods work on the earth. The bright spot is that God is working His plan out according to His Word. That excites me!! The bad news is that the nations have rebelled against a holy God and His plan. America is in a dark place and I love my country. That brings me to the compromise America has made with the evil empire, Saudi Arabia.

For the sake of getting oil, the USA has crossed some lines ethically and morally that have put us in grave danger. Now, our relationship with Saudi Arabia is being tested and we are being drawn into another potential war. Saudi Arabia this week has declared that a state of war exists between them and Lebanon and Iran. This is happening at a time when the Saudi kingdom is undergoing a purge.

VOX reported on Nov.6th, “The purge in Saudi Arabia, explained, “It is the most volatile period in Saudi history in over a half-century.” Mohammed bin Salman, the ambitious 32-year-old crown prince of Saudi Arabia, is rounding up the opposition — specifically, the opposition inside his own royal family. Then the Independent from the UK reported two days ago: “The Saudi night of the long knives was followed by the sudden appearance of Saad Hariri in the Kingdom, announcing that he was resigning as prime minister of Lebanon. Then came the news that the Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas had been summoned to Riyadh. The 32-year-old Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is seeking to exert control both at home and abroad, in the process ratcheting up tension in an already volatile Middle East. The US President’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, paid a secretive visit to Riyadh a few days ago. But this support is likely to have come at a price. Mr. Trump has tweeted that he wants the $2 trillion float of Saudi oil giant Aramco to take place in New York.” Once again, we have compromised our deepest held beliefs as Americans for the dollar.

“So the Crown Prince appears to have taken a firm grip on the four pillars of the Kingdom: the ruling family, the business sheikhs, the security apparatus and the theocracy. His path to supreme power and, with it, the ability to bring about the reforms he wants, is seemingly assured.” Be assured that the downfall of ISIS is part of the reason that Saudi Arabia is acting so aggressively. Saudi Arabia is Sunni and ISIS is a Sunni fighting group against the Shiite forces of Iran, Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Hamas. Now that ISIS is defeated in Syria, Saudi Arabia does not have a fighting force against the Iranian Shiite forces. Those forces are surrounding Saudi Arabia; Houthis to the south, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to the east, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Russia to the north, and a weakened Egypt to her west. That is why Saudi Arabia decared that a state of war exists with Iran and Lebanon, the headquarters of the Shiite groups Hezbollah and Revolutionary Guard. Iran is very powerful now and that is a great threat to Saudi Arabia. As the Saudi’s try to coalesce a group of nations to fight Iran and her proxies, the US is in the middle of the mess. God help us!

Similarly, a Saudi-led Sunni alliance started a blockade of Qatar in response to long held grievances, including Doha not being sufficiently aggressive towards Iran. Qatar, it was expected, would capitulate quickly to demands made by Riyadh. Not only has that not happened, but Qatar has moved closer to Iran and the Turks, who have troops based there – Recep Tayyip Erdogan challenging the Saudis for the leadership of Sunni states, with possible reinforcements.

The civil war in the United States over the Saudi moves is from good Americans who won a court case against the Saudi’s over 9/11. “The risk is of Saudi assets in the US being seized as a result of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act (Jasta) passed by Congress under which families of 9/11 victims can take legal action against the Saudi government and nationals. Mr Trump had himself supported the Jasta Bill and castigated Barack Obama for opposing it.” Once again our compromise with evil has complicated everything. As I write this, the Saudi government is urging citizens of the kingdom to leave Lebanon as tensions rise. War is on the doorstep of Saudi Arabia with Iran and Lebanon. How this plays out is anyone’s guess? The war of words has already led to shooting. How far is it going to go? Saudi Arabia intercepted a rocket fired by militia near the airport in its capital city, something they blamed Iran for. Remember that Iran and Iraq fought for 8 years in the eighties. This potential war will send oil prices skyrocketing. Who can benefit from that? Russia!

One way that our nation can be healed quickly is to turn to the Lord. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord! We have not turned to God as a nation and yesterday, we continued our march to immorality when a transgender guy was elected. We as a nation have not repented of our many sins. Ask God to call the nation to repentance? Thank God for all of the ministries who are organizing the church to repent. Franklin Graham, Erwin Lutzer, Focus on the Family, Jonathan Cahn, John MacArthur, Moody Radio, etc. are just some of the great pastors and people calling us to repent. The nation is not listening! Read Jeremiah 25-29 and ask God to help us to repent!

Prophecy Update: November 3, 2017

Each week we move closer and closer to the fulfillment of the prophecy given to us in Ezekiel 38-39. It is a fascinating study, to track the relationship between Russia and Iran over the last 37 years. I started tracking this relationship in 1979 after the fall of Iran. At that point there was no relationship between the two nations. Russia was communist and the Islamic regime hates communists. When the USSR fell in the early 1990’s, the relationship began to develop. During World War 2, the Soviet Union (and Britain) occupied Iran. “Joseph Stalin’s subsequent refusal to withdraw Soviet troops led to one of the first crises of the Cold War. Soviet support for the Tudeh, Iran’s Communist Party, angered both the monarchy and theocracy. And the Soviet Union armed and aided Iraq during its 1980-1988 war with Iran. Even now, the Iranian press routinely refers to these events as reasons why Tehran should not trust Moscow.” (Mark N. Katz, Institute of Peace) But the relationship developed anyway because Bible prophecy needs to be fulfilled!

From 1979 to 1989, Iran viewed Russia as hostile. From 1989 to 1999, Tehran viewed Russia as friendly because Mikhail Gorbachev and Boris Yeltsin pursued a relationship with Tehran. The Ayatollah Khomeini died in mid-1989 which opened some doors. Communism was collapsing and Russia was looking for new partners and friends. Bible prophecy was on the move. From 1999 to 2013, the relationship went up and down but economic ties kept growing. The biggest deal was nuclear and Russia used this to control Iran. “Russia repeatedly pushed to dilute or defer a series of U.N. sanctions resolutions against Iran since 2006. But Tehran was angry that Moscow voted to approve any sanctions against Iran when it could have vetoed them. Russian diplomacy appeared designed to convey to Tehran that Moscow could protect Iran from the West if Tehran cooperated with Russia—but also that Russia could side with the West against Iran, if Tehran did not. Tehran was especially upset when in 2010 then President Medvedev canceled the agreement to sell S-300 air defense missile systems to Iran.” From 2013 to today, Russia and Iran are joined at the hip against Israel and the USA. The reason for this is because Russian relations with the West have been deteriorating and Iran could serve as an alternative to Russia as a source of natural gas for Europe. Russia will make money off a deal with Iran. They will not if Israel goes through with her plans to ship natural gas to Europe, undercutting Russian business: Thus, the hook in the jaw.
The hook in the jaw is economic in nature. The Washington Post reported two weeks ago: “The Iranian deal has yielded millions of dollars to Europe. The lifting of sanctions under the deal prompted a rush of European corporations to do business in Iran. These are now lobbying their governments to prevent the dismantlement of the deal and are hoping that Iran may continue to adhere to its conditions if Europe refrained from reimposing sanctions. Iranian exports to the European Union increased by 375 percent from 2015 to 2016, and European companies have already invested a significant amount of money in the country, raising the stakes of any decision that could result in the deal’s collapse.”

This week the two nations have moved even closer and the hook is in the jaw of Russia. The Jerusalem Post reported on the current meetings between Russia and Iran. They said, “Russian President Vladimir Putin began a visit to Iran on Wednesday designed to underpin closer ties between two countries at loggerheads with the United States as President Donald Trump threatens to pull out of a 2015 nuclear deal with Tehran.” The desire of the American administration to pull out of the Iranian deal has caused a lot of consternation with the nations. It is clearly evident that the American desire to pull out of the deal is being painted as pro-Israel and anti-Muslim. The nations are using this deal to gain greater power over Israel so they can destroy her. Israel is resisting to the point of threatening war right back at them. The article went on to say, Moscow is also an important ally for Iran in its confrontation with the Trump administration, which on October 13 refused to certify Tehran’s two-year-old nuclear deal with six major powers that include Russia and the United States. “Both Russia and Iran are under American pressure … Tehran has no other choice but to rely on Moscow to ease the US pressure,” said the official. Another Iranian official said Trump’s aggressive Iran policy had united Iran’s faction-ridden leadership in alignment with Russia.”

As you can see, the current political and military alignments are drawing Iran and Russia closer. The threats of war are also increasing. The Washington Free Beacon had this headline on Wednesday Oct.31st, ‘Iran Threatens Ballistic Missile Strikes on American Forces, Can Hit ‘All U.S. Bases.’ “A top Iranian military commander has threatened to launch ballistic missile attacks on U.S. forces in the region amid a public effort by the Islamic Republic to show off its advanced missile capabilities, according to U.S. officials and regional reports.”

“Iranian leaders disclosed that their advanced ballistic missile technology, which could be used as part of a nuclear weapons program, is sophisticated enough to strike U.S. forces up to nearly 1,300 miles, or 2,000 kilometers, away, which encompasses all U.S. bases in the region.” As Vladimir Putin was meeting with the Iranians, the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called on all Muslims to ‘engage in different methods of fighting against Israel.’ Apparently he felt emboldened with his friends in town to encourage an all-out attack on Israel. “In a letter to the International Union of Resistance Scholars, a group that has convened anti-Israel gatherings in the past, Khamenei wrote that the “unforgettable responsibility” for removing Israel “rests upon the shoulders of the entire Muslim world.” These Muslim leaders advocate for an end to the Sunni-Shiite rift and a refocusing of Muslim attention on the Palestinian cause.
In the last few days, Israel has attacked Syria, blowing up a weapons depot in northern Syria. They blew up a Gaza attack tunnel killing 7 terrorists and wounding 12. Israel said they detected the tunnel being dug into Israeli territory. Iran called Israel bloodthirsty after blowing up the tunnel. Iran went on to say that Israel has had seven decades of crimes and bloodshed and child killing against Palestinians. (Times of Israel)

Another tension that is bringing rumors of war is the desire of Russia, Iran, and China to exit any economic system including the petrodollar. Trading oil in American currency has become anathema in several countries. One report said this: “A profound transformation of the global monetary system is underway. It is being driven by a perfect storm: the need for Russia and Iran to escape Western sanctions, the low interest rate policy of the U.S. Federal Reserve to keep the American economy afloat and the increasing demand for Middle East oil by China. The implications of this transformation are immense for U.S. policy in the Middle East which, for 50 years, has been founded on a partnership with Saudi Arabia.” President Putin has said (in the context of reducing Russia’s economic vulnerabilities) that he views the dollar monopoly in energy trade as damaging to the Russian economy. Since hydrocarbon revenues form the most substantive part of Russia’s revenues, Putin’s desire to take action in this area is not surprising. This is why this conference in Iran was so important. Putin talked about the economic cooperation with the “North-South Transport Corridor” and the “Organization of Gas Producers” as being a way for these countries to carve out their own economic alliances. This is meant to undermine the power of the USA. CNBC reported on Oct.24th 2017, “China has grand ambitions to dethrone the dollar. It may make a powerful move this year.” The plan is to price oil in yuan using a gold-backed futures contract in Shanghai, but the road will be long and arduous. If there’s widespread adoption, as the Chinese hope, then that will mark a step toward challenging the greenback’s status as the world’s most powerful currency. China is telling the world that the USA is a debt driven system that hurts all countries and the countries are agreeing with China. Will America do anything to keep the petrodollar system going? Russia, China, and Iran are the ones resisting this system and pushing crypto dollars. Once the cat is out of the bag, the dollar will fall. China and Russia are saying that the USA will start a war to protect the petrodollar. Here is the kicker, Saudi Arabia is joining China in this endeavor! Dedollarizing oil will destroy our economy.
The UK newpaper the Express published this on Thursday Nov.2, 2017, “World on a KNIFE EDGE: Iran asks Vladimir Putin to ELIMINATE US dollar and isolate America.” The report said, IRAN’S supreme leader has urged Russian president Vladimir Putin to join forces with Tehran to beat the United States’ sanctions against them by ditching the dollar. The Russian president said the US wants to interfere in all matters of the world and the region and often ignores interests of its allies to do so.
Recent news reports inform us that Iran is setting up shop in Damascus and has been laying the groundwork for a highway from Tehran to the Mediterranean Sea—in essence building a caliphate with clearly stated plans to destroy Israel. In the last year, Israel has attacked sites near Damascus and around Syria. The setting up of shop by Iran and Russia in Syria will cause Israel to destroy Damascus. This will lead to the prophecy of Ezekiel 38-39 to be fulfilled. We are so close to this happening. As other prophecy teachers have pointed out, “I had always wondered about the logic behind the fact that Ezekiel 38 involved nations that were at least one country removed from Israel’s borders, yet they attack with ground forces from Israel’s north. In other words, the attack would have to come from Syria, but Syria is not listed as one of the attackers. If the stage is indeed being set for Isaiah 17 (Vs. 1, Vs. 14) and Ezekiel 38 (and I believe it is), then the Syrian Civil War has served to allow Russia and Iran to form their long-prophesied and unprecedented partnership and presence in the mountains north of Israel. Syria is not listed as an attacker because she is powerless and a puppet regime being held up only by Russia and Iran, who are calling all shots.”
It is time for us to pray that God will give grace to America and a spirit of repentance.

Prophecy Update: Demon in the Freezer, Oct.26, 2017

I read a book many years ago called ‘Demon in the Freezer.’ The book is about the smallpox virus. The book reads like a fiction novel, but there is nothing unreal about it. The smallpox virus is deadly, in fact consider this quote: “Epidemiologists consider it the worst human disease on record, having killed perhaps a billion people over the last 100 years.” The USA and the USSR led the effort to eradicate smallpox from the earth and they did a great job. Most of you had the vaccine when you were a baby. During the Cold War, it was decided that both the USA and the USSR would take samples of various strains of the virus and keep them for safe keeping. That is when they figured out that they could use it as a biological weapon. Russia and the USA developed smallpox biological weapons and the weapons program of the USSR was truly frightening. They outline in the book how the Russians developed and deployed missiles outfitted with smallpox-laden warheads in the 1990s. What is truly a big problem for the world is the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and the smallpox biological weapon is the worse!

With this in mind, consider this headline from the Sun newspaper, Oct.25th. “DEATH IS COMING Black Death warning in NINE countries – including Brit holiday hotspots – amid fears PLAGUE could spread on flights from Madagascar.” The deadly plague outbreak has struck Madagascar’s major cities sparking fears it has yet to ‘peak’ and could spread into the surrounding region. PLAGUE warnings have been issued for NINE countries surrounding Madagascar amid fears the disease could spread via sea trade and flight routes. The medieval disease famously wiped out ONE THIRD of Europe’s population in the 13th and 14th centuries in one of the most devastating pandemics in human history known as the Black Death.

Life is truly unpredictable. All kinds of diseases, at any moment may invade a person and cause irreparable harm. In the case of the flu epidemic, we think that we can handle it, but according to the Center for Disease Control, “A new analysis of the past 31 flu seasons, put out by the CDC said its 23,607 per year, on average.” That is a lot of people to die from the flu. The world is at a strange place when people can control viruses so that they can weaponize them and use them to kill other people.

Smallpox is just one of many viruses that can be weaponized. The proliferation of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons has grown beyond what anyone intended fifty years ago. There is a treaty called the Biological and Chemical weapons Convention that many countries are signatories to. Under the so called rules, these nations are not to be pursuing a chemical or biological weapons program. Problem is that Russia and China are the biggest violators of the treaty and have developed some of the largest weaponized programs in the world. Cuba is in the news for this very reason!

WASHINGTON — The blaring, grinding noise jolted the American diplomat from his bed in a Havana hotel. He moved just a few feet, and there was silence. He climbed back into bed. Inexplicably, the agonizing sound hit him again. It was as if he’d walked through some invisible wall cutting straight through his room.
Soon came the hearing loss, and the speech problems, symptoms both similar and altogether different from others among at least 21 US victims in an astonishing international mystery still unfolding in Cuba. The top US diplomat has called them “health attacks.” New details learned by The Associated Press indicate at least some of the incidents were confined to specific rooms or even parts of rooms with laser-like specificity, baffling US officials who say the facts and the physics don’t add up.

Several news outlets have called these attacks on our people. The Star Tribune said this, US calls mysterious health ailments in Cuba ‘attacks.’ Our State Department has complained about Cuban use of chemical and biological weapons in the past. Allegations of biological weapons programs have persisted through defectors who have come to the USA as recently as this year. These are nasty weapons and there use can be hidden. What is unique about Cuba is that many think this is an attack through a new weapon, maybe sonic waves? This week this happened, U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson on Thursday called on the U.S. State Department to investigate a bizarre string of attacks on diplomats in Havana, urging Secretary Rex Tillerson to get to the bottom of unexplained, invisible attacks that have hurt Americans on Cuban soil. Many are stating that, ‘An inaudible sonic weapon adequately does not explain the range of symptoms experienced by diplomats suffering from “health attacks” in Cuba.’ The US pulled its embassy staff out of Cuba and expelled 15 Cuban diplomats over the attacks.

This story out of Cuba illustrates some very important things about the future of warfare. First, we were attacked as a country and we have not even defined how the attack has taken place. Second, we have not attacked back. Third, the Cubans and all of our enemies see that they have gotten away with it because there are no real repercussions. Fourth, exotic weapons, such as biological, chemical, sonic sound, and laser are being used without retaliation. Fifth, plausible deniability is the name of the game. Cuba says they did nothing wrong. They claim that the USA has not found a smoking gun.

Imagine the fear it would cause a nation if a nuke went off in a city and no one knew where it came from. A dirty nuke in New York would cause panic like we have never known. A nuke launched from a container ship five miles off the coast of New York would give a nation plausible deniability.

The Cuban attack on our people is a test, and America is not passing the test. We have been probed and prodded by evil in the past. Our enemies are testing our limits and what have they concluded? North Korea: who declared that we should take them seriously has concluded that America will do nothing when they get nukes. This happened over a 20 year span. We started with: they will never get the bomb to they will never use the bomb to they cannot deliver a bomb to maybe they can deliver the bomb and next on the way to war—they just used the bomb.

Consider Japan, they have said since WW2 that they will never get nukes. Now they are not so sure since North Korea is threatening them with nuclear annihilation. ABC News reported this week: Japanese defense minister sounds alarm on North Korea. Japan’s defense minister asserted Monday that North Korea’s nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities have grown to an “unprecedented, critical and imminent” level, requiring “different responses” to the threat. The minister, Itsunori Odonera, said that this rising threat compels his country to endorse the U.S. view that “all options” must be considered, which President Donald Trump says includes possible military action. Japan was alarmed by North Korea twice launching missiles over Japanese territory, in August and in September. Any military action by the Trump administration against the North risks a retaliatory missile attack on Japan, where 54,000 American troops are based. On Friday, North Korea threatened to “sink” Japanese islands with nuclear weapons, adding that “Japan is no longer needed to exist near us.” In recent months, the government of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has revived a long-simmering discussion over whether to acquire cruise missiles — which can be fired from land, air or sea — that would allow it to strike a launch site in North Korea if it detected signs of an imminent attack.

North Korea threats at ‘unprecedented, critical’ level, Japan official says’ North Korea diplomat says take atmospheric nuclear test threat ‘literally’ The recent warning from North Korea’s foreign minister of a possible atmospheric nuclear test over the Pacific Ocean should be taken literally, a senior North Korean official told CNN in an interview aired on Wednesday. North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho said last month Pyongyang may consider conducting “the most powerful detonation” of a hydrogen bomb over the Pacific Ocean amid rising tensions with the United States. CIA chief Mike Pompeo said last week that North Korea could be only months away from gaining the ability to hit the United States with nuclear weapons. The U.S. Navy said on Wednesday a third aircraft carrier strike group was now sailing in the Asia-Pacific region, joining two other carriers, the Ronald Reagan and Theodore Roosevelt.

All of this news illustrates for us that wars and rumors of war are at an all time high. The increase in the amount of nations with nukes is staggering. The anti-nuclear movements are all but dead. Everyone without a nuke now thinks they need them. Japan is just one example of this. “The only way to deal with the situation is by having a nuclear balance between the North and the South,” said Hong, the runner-up in South Korea’s 2017 presidential election. Now even South Korea is openly talking about getting nukes!

Weapons of mass destruction come in all sizes and types. It is only a matter of time before someone tries their hand at war with one of these weapons. We need wisdom as a nation on how to deal with Cuba. On a bigger scale, we need wisdom on how to deal with those who advocate nuclear war like North Korea. Pray for our leaders and ask that they will have the wisdom of Solomon, the bravery of David, and the peace of Jesus in their hearts.

Psalm 113-114
I am amazed at these passages in the Psalms. God is working in a great way for His people and asking them to sing about His work in Psalm 111, 112, and 119. These three Psalms are acrostic Psalms and are meant to be remembered. They focus on Gods works, but the greatest work of God is in the death and resurrection of Jesus. This is what the Hallel, Psalm 113-118 is about.

This is the first of six psalms in the “Hallel” that is sung at the time of the Passover by the Jewish community. Jews observing the Passover sing Psalms 113 and 114 before the meal and Psalms 115–118 following it. This means that Jesus sang this with the disciples at the last supper. “After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives,” Matt 26:30. The same psalms were also sung at all three major Israelite festivals of Passover (Pesach), Dedication (Hanukkah) and Booths (Shavuoth). (William Barrick commentary.) My Bible dictionary had this definition of ‘hallel’– praise, the name given to the group of Psalms 113-118, which are preeminently psalms of praise. It is called “The Egyptian Hallel,” commemorates what God did in the Exodus from Egypt and because it was chanted in the temple while the Passover lambs were being slain. It was also chanted in private families at the feast of Passover.

This section of Psalms is primarily about the work of God in bringing the Messiah to be the fulfillment of His greatest work—salvation! Psalm 111, 112, and 119 are acrostic Psalms and are all about the work of God. Ps.111 is about the work of God in history, 112 is about the work of God through Godly people, and 119 is about the work of God through His Word! The Hallel is about the work of God through Jesus. Imagine that Jesus is singing this before He was about to die for our sins. Each Psalm is a step in that direction and gives you something great from the Holy Spirit towards that end!

113: The Transcendent and Immanent work of God. This Psalm points us to the greatness of the work God does from heaven. It was from heaven that God attacked the Egyptians and instituted Passover. The praise for God (commanded five times in nine verses) is to be forever. The work of God has an eternal element to it and there is nothing better in all of the work of God than Passover. Jesus is our Passover!
114: This Psalm mentions the Exodus and covers the history of Israel all the way to God dwelling in Jerusalem. The God of heaven is working on the earth through miracles that impact the Red Sea and Jordan River and water coming out of the rock at Meribah. The presence of God on the earth through the Temple in Jerusalem should lead the earth to tremble.

Transcendence: A theological term referring to the relation of God to creation. God is “other,” “different” from His creation. He is independent and different from His creatures (Isaiah 55:8-9). He transcends His creation. He is beyond it and not limited by it or to it.

Immanence: The literal meaning of the immanence of God is “to be within” or “near” in relation to God’s creation. Immanence is closely related to God’s omnipresence, in that God is always present within the universe, though distinct from it. God is ‘within’ the universe in that God is its sustaining cause. (Geisler) God really cares of for the barren women and worked in them such as Sarah, Rebekkah, Rachel, Hannah (I Sam.1:6), and Elizabeth (Luke 1:7).

Psalm 114 covers the whole 40+ years from the Exodus to God bringing His people to the land of Israel. The whole earth is to tremble before God for what He is doing on the earth. When God speaks of His sanctuary, He could be referring to the tabernacle when it was set up in Shiloh for 300+ years or He could be referring all the way to the time that God set up His Temple. The point of the Psalm however is that God is working and it is towards the salvation of His people!

Meditate with me on these passages and think of them as if you were singing them at Passover with Jesus before His death. Knowing what happened, these passages are amazing, they focus the thoughts of the Holy Spirit towards that fateful day. God is wanting us to dive into the depth of the riches of His salvation!

Prophecy Update: Friday Oct.20th, 2017

For many years I have studied and followed the desire of the nation to engage Iran over its pursuit of nuclear weapons. The bottom line is that, since 1978, America has appeased Iran. Now we have a president who is not appeasing anymore. Claire Lopez reported this week from the Center of Security Policy, “President Donald J. Trump put the Iranian regime on notice with his speech last week: the time when the United States (U.S.) government would turn a blind eye to its decades-long drive for deliverable nuclear weapons is over. The president announced he would not re-certify Iranian compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or Iran nuclear deal.”

CNN reported that Trump did this out of ignorance and went against his military advisors. Actually, Trump was telling the truth about the regime. “By making explicit references to “Iran’s clandestine nuclear weapons program” and “illicit nuclear program,” President Trump acknowledged what many have known for a long time: there has never been a time since 1988, when the Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini first ordered his Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to “get the bomb,” that Iran has not had a clandestine nuclear weapons program. ” 42 intelligence experts asked Trump to decertify!

Since 2009 I have been praying, hoping, and pleading that Israel would take out the nuclear reactors in Iran. They have attacked the nuclear program through the years by assassinating Iranian nuclear scientists. “Four Iranian nuclear scientists—Masoud Alimohammadi, Majid Shahriari, Darioush Rezaeinejad and Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan—were assassinated between 2010 and 2012. Another scientist, Fereydoon Abbasi, was wounded in an attempted murder. Two of the killings were carried out with magnetic bombs attached to the targets’ cars; Darioush Rezaeinejad was shot dead, and Masoud Alimohammadi was killed in a motorcycle-bomb explosion. The Iranian government accused Israel of complicity in the killings.” Israel also snuck the computer virus, stuxnet, onto the computers that controlled the nuclear reactor in Iran which damaged the reactor! Israeli defence minister Moshe Ya’alon said: “We will act in any way and are not willing to tolerate a nuclear-armed Iran. We prefer that this be done by means of sanctions, but in the end, Israel should be able to defend itself.” The assassination campaign was reportedly terminated in 2013 following diplomatic pressure from the United States, which was attempting to negotiate restrictions on Iran’s nuclear activities. This was President Obama’s appeasement at work, endangering lives in Israel and America.

As far back as 1981, Israel attacked and destroyed a nuclear reactor being built in Iraq with French help. Israel had courage to do what no one else would do! They were condemned by the world and the USA, but without apology the Jews did what was right. Who will do that today?

Professor Louis Beres has stated, “Israel’s citizens, together with Jews and Arabs, and other coalition soldiers who fought in the Persian Gulf War may owe their lives to Israel’s courage, skill, and foresight in June 1981. Had it not been for the brilliant raid at Osirak, Saddam’s forces might have been equipped with atomic warheads in 1991. Ironically, the Saudis too, are in Jerusalem’s debt. Had it not been for Primes Minister Begin’s resolve to protect the Israeli people in 1981, Iraq’s SCUD’s falling on Saudi Arabia might have spawned immense casualties and lethal irradiation.”

Fast forward to today, the controversy in the news is that Russia procured 20% of American uranium through a deal with Hillary Clinton. Reporter Sarah Carter has reported that the Justice Department knew that there were illegal dealings attached to the Russian desire to procure a deal for American uranium and still approved the deal. The Washington Times reported Thursday, Oct.19th that “President Trump said Thursday that “the real Russia story” involves reports that then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Barack Obama allowing Moscow to gain control of much of the U.S. supply of uranium.” “That’s your real Russia story, not a story where they talk about collusion, and there was none,” Mr. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. “Your real Russia story is uranium, and how they got all that uranium, a vast percentage of what we have.” The Hill reported Wednesday that the FBI investigated Russian nuclear industry officials engaging in bribery and kickbacks before a 2010 deal that Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Obama approved, giving Russia control of more uranium.

The real story is that the Clinton foundation received 145 million dollars from the Russians for the uranium deal! The FBI was investigating this in 2009 and all of the evidence that they unearthed, kickbacks, bribes, extortion, and money laundering was hid from the public! The Attorney General, Eric Holder at the time, hid the information and approved the deal anyway. An American trucking company, moving the uranium was being controlled by Putin’s Russian mob and Holder, Clinton, and the Obama justice department approved the deal anyway! Here is the tweets from President Trump, “4:17 am Oct.19, Uranium deal with Russia, with Clinton help and Obama administration knowledge, is the biggest story that Fake Media does not want to follow.” At 4:56 am he tweeted, “Workers of firm involved with the discredited and fake dossier take the fifth, who paid for it, the Russians, the FBI or the Dems, or them all?”

American corruption at its finest! The real story though is that the Iranians and the Russians have a nuclear treaty, Russia has built their nuclear plants and have supplied whatever they have needed for their pursuit of nuclear weapons. The Iranians have their own uranium mine, they produce enough uranium to make many nuclear weapons. If God were to use the Russians against the United States, the integration of Russian influence in the nuclear industry, and Chinese threats against the United States is enough fire power to bring us down. We are already at a place where we will fall according to Jesus who said, ‘a country divided against itself cannot stand.’

Not only are the Democrats against Trump decertifying the Iranian deal, but so are all of the nations making money off the Iranians because of the deal. This is another indication that America is in trouble and Trump is the tip of a spear that is bringing about the conflict in our nation. I believe that it is right to not appease Iran or North Korea. Standing up to do what is right is bringing a conflict with the socialist left in this country that has led them to say Trump is mentally ill. If they cannot remove him over the Russian collusion story than maybe they can convince the public that this is a crazy story from a crazy president?

Trump has turned their Russian story against them and has shown how the Dems and left are the ones who have had collusion with the Russians. Obama and Clinton will not take this lying down. The news media will lie to us and obfuscate everything like they always do. The author of lies is Satan and that is the father of most news outlets today. Bill Clinton was getting double his fees for speaking while in Moscow and the Clintons got a 145 million gift from Putin and nobody in the news media cared. The conservative press brought this out back in 2010 and 2011 but also said that nothing would come of it. Why? Because everything ‘Clinton’ that is a scandal is the fault of the right! A lobbying group that works for the Russians is protecting Hillary Clinton pro bono—doing what they can to keep this information out of the press. The press, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC, and others will do all they can to kill this story. NBC said yesterday, we covered the story and there is no story, there is no evidence Clinton was involved!

Iran and Russia wish to destroy the USA and Israel, Iran preaches about it every day. Russia hides their true intentions, but make no mistake, we are their greatest enemy. America is in a fog, created by our own sins and desire for riches over God. As Iran sets up shop in Syria, Russia is protecting her and helping her for the day that they attack Israel. The Israeli’s were pressured by the Americans not to attack Iran. Israel should have attacked Iran years ago. I am still very frustrated by the appeasement of Iran, it happens every day. Now that we have a president who is not appeasing anymore, it is going to lead to a war. A war that is predicted in the Bible. I am wondering, when do they attack us?

Christian truth and ethics are so far removed from our government and news media that appeasement of our enemies will lead to the destruction of our country as we know it. If politicians and a American trucking company were willing to betray America for some more money, we are doomed as a nation! Bill Gertz in his new book “IWAR” tells us that China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran are at war with us but we do not acknowledge it in America. At some point the capitulation with our enemies will lead to actual fighting on our shores. What will it take for America to repent? What will cause us to turn from our wicked ways and pray to God for healing? Ask God for mercy in judgment!

Prophecy Update: Friday Oct.13, 2017

This week I want to focus on the epicenter, Jerusalem. I see in the world a rising battle coming to Israel over Jerusalem. So many people deny that Israel even exists let alone have a capital in Jerusalem. The world has a problem with the Jews. In the 1920’s and 30’s they called the tension with Jews in Europe and the Middle East ‘the Jewish Problem.’ The Jewish problem is not a problem with Jews but a problem for the Nations! We should call this the Nations problem. The Nations refuse to acknowledge that God is giving the land back to Israel and accepting the capital city, Jerusalem, as a Jewish city. The city of Jerusalem is still under the times of the Gentiles but it is coming to an end. The tensions of today are directly related to the rebellion of the nations against the will of God. Even President Trump is backing off his promise to move the embassy to Jerusalem. Please pray to the Lord that America will do the right thing. The globalist forces are arrayed against Israel and Pres. Trump and his desire to move the embassy.

The Jerusalem Post reported this week, “Over 60 thousand participate in Jerusalem annual march on Tuesday 10/10/2017. Delegates from organizations and countries from all over the world participated in the 3-km. walk called the Jerusalem March to mark the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem. The pilgrims, visiting the capital to celebrate Sukkot and attend the Feast of Tabernacles celebration, were waving flags, chanting “we love Israel,” calling out “shalom,” and holding signs expressing support for the State of Israel.

Several news organizations have been reporting this: “The Trump administration announced on Thursday that the US will withdraw from UNESCO, the UN’s educational, scientific and cultural body. A fight over who will next run the organization highlighted the Trump administration’s concerns: one leading candidate, Qatar’s Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kawari, has been openly accused of antisemitism by Jewish and Israeli groups. In recent months, UNESCO members have pushed the body to recognize Jerusalem as a holy site exclusive to Muslims, without recognizing its Jewish roots. Trump administration officials such as Nikki Haley, its UN ambassador, have warned for weeks that pulling out would be a possibility if the body fails to reform. The United States’ withdrawal will take effect on the last day of the year.”
The problem with UNESCO and the UN is that it does not accept Jerusalem as Jewish and they see it as an international city. They drew lines around the city to carve it up. The Zionist Organization of America had this headline on Oct.2nd, “UN Resolution 242 Entitles Israel to Secure Borders Beyond the Insecure 1949 Armistice Lines.” “The ambassador also noted that the idea of Resolution 242 “was that Israel would be entitled to secure borders,” and that the lines existing before the Six-Day War (meaning, the 1949 Armistice lines) “were viewed by everybody as not secure, so Israel would retain a meaningful portion of the West Bank, and it would return that which it didn’t need for peace and security. So, there was always supposed to be some notion of expansion into the West Bank, but not necessarily expansion into the entire West Bank. And I think that’s exactly what, you know, Israel has done.” As you know, God promised to give all of the West Bank to Israel as prophesied in Ezekiel 36-37. As God is doing it, the world is pushing back and threatening war!

The green line is not a source of rights and obligations in the original agreement signed in 1949 after the war of independence. Is there a simple answer to the question of who owns or has the legal right to Jerusalem? Dr. Jacques Gauthier, a Canadian lawyer who specializes in international law, answered that question on Wednesday with a resounding yes and suggested that if a theoretical court that was 100-percent objective were to study the legally relevant facts, ignoring politics, it would find unequivocally that only Israel possesses the exclusive title to Jerusalem. Gauthier begins his overview of the issues with Theodore Herzl in 1896-1897 and the Balfour Declaration of 1917, but the core of his argument and its most original aspect is the emphasis he places on the San Remo Conference of April 24-25, 1920. Gauthier says that the San Remo Conference was the “final hearing” of a “world court,” the council of the five leading nations and victors of World War I. The “case” before the “court” began at the Paris Peace Conference of 1919, where both the Jews and the Arabs of the Middle East submitted claims to the council to obtain independence and control of various territories. Gauthier calls April 24-25 in San Remo the “key defining moment in history” on the issue of title to Jerusalem and says that Chaim Weizmann called the decision the “most important moment for the Jewish people since the exile.” According to Gauthier, the case and all arguments are basically over at this point. The Jewish people were given “title” to Jerusalem under international law. ZOA also notes that “Resolution 242 did nothing to impair Israel’s legal rights to all of Judea/Samaria – rights that are grounded in binding international treaties (including Article 22 of the League of Nations Covenant; the Mandate for Palestine (1922), San Remo Resolution (1920), Feisal-Weitzman Treaty (1919) (an Arab-Jewish treaty, the 1924 Anglo-American Convention [Treaty] (a U.S. treaty obligation ratified by the U.S. Senate in 1925).” So you can see that when Israel became a nation, why Satan wanted her destroyed as five nations immediately attacked but Israel won the war in 1949.

General Armistice Agreement Between Israel and Jordan, April 3, 1949: Article 2 It is also recognized that no provision of this agreement shall in any way prejudice the rights, claims, and positions of either party hereto in the ultimate peaceful settlement of the Palestine question, the provisions of this agreement being dedicated exclusively by military considerations. The Jewish claim in 1919 conference in Paris—Moses Hess, he wrote Rome and Jerusalem in 1862, “What we have to do at present for the generation of the Jewish nation is first to keep alive the hope of the political rebirth of our people. To reawaken the hope where it slumbers when political conditions in the orient shape themselves in order to admit the organization of the beginning of the restoration of a Jewish state.” The objectives of Zionism were to get a homeland and Gauthier concludes his analysis by rejecting the idea that any later events – such as the UN Partition Plan, UN Resolution 242, or the Oslo Accords – superseded Israel’s “title” to Jerusalem.

The chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee issued a stark reminder on Wednesday that Hezbollah — the Lebanese Shia terrorist organization backed by Iran — is “well positioning itself to intensify its original mission: the destruction of Israel.” Congressman Ed Royce (R-CA) said Hezbollah was now “ascendant in Lebanon,” with “thousands of fighters in Syria” as well. This is happening this week because Satan is mad that Israel is winning in everything. They are systematically taking their land back and he cannot stand it. Therefore, the prophecy of Iran and Russia attacking Israel is at hand!

“This terrorist organization is building a deadly rocket arsenal, ready to rain terror on the Jewish state,” Royce continued. “I was in Israel during the 2006 Hezbollah rocket campaign. Its capabilities then, quite substantial, are far more concerning today.” “This is a powder keg,” Royce warned. Over the last year, Israeli intelligence officials have reported that the Tehran regime is supplying Hezbollah with ever more sophisticated precision technology for its missiles aimed at the Jewish state. The group’s 2009 manifesto hailed “the beginning of hastening historic demise of the Zionist entity,” adding that by its very existence, Israel “embodies an eternal threat to Lebanon.” Add to this the fact that Fatah and Hamas are having reunification talks. Israel facilitated the entry of Palestinian Authority (PA) Cabinet ministers into Gaza on Oct. 2 to attend a reconciliation meeting between Fatah and Hamas. It took Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a day to respond to the event. Speaking at a Likud meeting in the West Bank settlement of Ma’ale Adumim, Netanyahu said, “We expect everyone who talks about a peace process to recognize the State of Israel and, of course, to recognize a Jewish state.” He added, “Whoever wants to make such a reconciliation, our understanding is very clear: Recognize the State of Israel, disband the Hamas military arm, sever the connection with Iran, which calls for our destruction.” (Al-Monitor Oct.3)

As you can see, they cry peace, peace, when there is not a chance for peace! As Russia and Iran and Hezbollah threaten Israel from the north, forces from the south and west have been growing in power for the day they will attack Israel. Hamas has fought three wars with Israel between 2009 and 2014 and has become ever more isolated at a time when conditions in the impoverished hemmed-in strip of 2million people have deteriorated. Hamas needs the reconciliation with Fatah, with Iranian and Egyptian help to continue their march to destroying Israel. President Trump wants to make the ultimate peace deal in the Middle East. His advisors have accepted the notion that they can work with Fatah, Hamas, and Hezbollah for peace when reality says you are making a deal with the devil. Last week Mr Haniyeh, leader of Hamas, said Hamas would not disarm and would “resist the occupation with all forms of resistance”. You cannot work with Hamas President Trump!

Today, Arutz Sheva had this headline: “Jordan: Jews on Temple Mount are a ‘provocation’ to Muslims.” According to Jordan, no Jews are allowed to go to the Temple Mount. This is a throw down and it will end in bloodshed. Jews are not giving up sovereignty over Jerusalem including the Temple Mount, and Muslims are not giving up their desire for all of the land of Israel. “The Jordanian government condemned Israel for allowing Jews to visit the Temple Mount, calling it “irresponsible” and “provocative to Muslims around the world.” What does it provoke? I say it provokes war which is in the air in Israel. Will Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and other Muslim nations attack Israel? It is prophesied so it will happen. When will it happen? I say soon, the wick has been lit; it is getting close to go time! Are you ready for war? The USA will not escape this conflict. Pray!

Psalm 111: The Works of the LORD

Psalms 111 and 112 are acrostic psalms with 22 letters beginning 22 stanzas. God’s works are the primary subject of Psalm 111. This Psalm brings up in my mind the battle between Elijah and the prophets of Baal. If God is God follow Him and if Baal is god follow him was Elijah’s admonition. Elijah was confident that His God works and we can be sure that God is a God who is alive and works. This Psalm will give believers hope that all other gods are false and can do nothing. Our God has done great things!

Psalm 111:1-6: Thanksgiving because of God’s Works.

The first two verses highlight our personal response to the great works of the Lord. First, we should give thanks among other believers and second we should study the works of the Lord. These two commands are qualified by ‘with all my heart’ and ‘delight in them.’ When we give thanks for God’s works we should do it with all of our heart. Why? Because the works always impact our lives for Gods good will. Study means to resort to, seek, seek with care, enquire, require. When you reread the Old Testament you will find many great things that the Lord has done. We should study them.
In vss.3-6 God describes the works as those that are splendid, majestic, wonderful, and powerful. In vs.3-4 God makes 2 great statements about Himself: His righteousness endures forever and the Lord is gracious and compassionate. All the works of the Lord have the quality of righteousness, grace, and compassion. Even the hard things that God did are filled with these qualities like the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. How so?
In vss.5-6 God lists how He has worked on behalf of His people Israel. What did He do? When did God give Israel the heritage of the nations? Look up these passages and mark what you learn about heritage? (Another word for heritage is inheritance) Jer.2:7, 12:7, 17:4, Ezekiel 36:12, 48:29, Psalm 33:12, 47:4, 78:55, 94:14?

Psalm 111: 7-10: Works and the Word

See how God links His works with His words. Works of the Lord reflect the twin characteristics of truth and justice. This giving of the Word is a Work of God and we are reminded that all of His precepts are sure and eternal. Just as the works of God impact us forever, so the Word of God is eternal and will have an eternal impact. The result of the work and word of God is found in vs. 9, “He has sent redemption to His people, He has ordained His covenant forever.” Israel and likewise, all believers can depend on the covenant because God has made it for eternity. Our salvation is eternal and so is the Abrahamic covenant. The basis of salvation in the Abrahamic covenant is eternal and so is our covenant, the New Covenant. God concludes this Psalm with an admonition that we find in Proverbs, ‘the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom a good understanding have all those who do His commandments, His praise endures forever.” Review through the Psalm all that is eternal? Depend on His promise today!

Prophecy Update: Oct.5th 2017

When I wrote my book about the biblical teaching on when God chooses to discipline or destroy a nation, I was concerned about the rise of China and Russia as powers who have published books detailing their intention to destroy the United States of America. As America turned from the Lord, more nations spoke of their desire to destroy the USA.

When President Nixon opened up relations with the communist dictatorship in China, America changed the way they would do business with the communist Chinese. Engagement was the word of the day, the hope that as the economy improved in China, the Chinese would turn from communism and choose freedom. Watanabe, Tsuneo wrote a nice article in 2014 called, US Engagement Policy toward China, Realism, Liberalism, and Pragmatism. “US policy toward Beijing has consistently been one of engagement since President Richard Nixon’s visit to the People’s Republic of China in 1972. There have been occasional swings in nuance, though, resulting from the positioning of four groups within the United States—pro-China commercial liberals, anti-China human-rights-oriented liberals, pro-China interdependence- and stability-focused realists, and anti-China military- and rivalry-focused realists—frustrating China and US allies in the region.” What no one wants to admit among these groups is that China has used engagement to work on her desire to destroy the USA.

In May the Washington Times asked the question if war was inevitable with China. It has always been inevitable from the communist Chinese point of view. The USA lives in a fog when it comes to China. The Times reported, “Half of China’s public believes that military conflict between China and the United States will occur within the next 10 years. This is one finding of the 2017 U.S. China Public Perceptions Opinion Survey, (the “Survey”) published by the Committee of 100 (C100) during its annual conference, held last week in Washington D.C.” Since the public sentiment mirrors the government in communist countries, war is in the air in China. The public is told quite often that China is going to destroy the USA.

Unrestricted Warfare, by Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui (Beijing: PLA Literature and Arts Publishing House, February 1999) is a book that I read after 9/11. The book was written by two PLA senior colonels from the younger generation of Chinese military officers. The book has recently drawn the attention of both the Chinese and Western press “for its advocacy of a multitude of means, both military and particularly non-military, to strike at the United States during times of conflict.” This book outlines the many ways that China has been attacking the USA over the last 40 years, a death by a thousand cuts. Assymetrical warfare is designed to weaken the opponent and kill him in the end. Hacking computers, targeting financial institutions, funding terrorism, using the media, and conducting urban warfare are all of the methods that China has been using.

In his new book, ‘I War’ by Bill Gertz, Gertz asserts that we are at war with China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea only the US is in the fog not believing that these nations wish to destroy us and are actively attacking us every day! One reviewer said, “America is at war – from cyber attacks by world powers to ISIS and even homegrown terrorists planning attacks on U.S. soil – but most of its citizens don’t know it.” China has stolen over 100 million peoples personal information in the USA. We are under information war with China and Russia.

Russia is in on this act also, they have infiltrated businesses, government, and our infrastructure computers. It is not just cyber attacks but also infiltration. The Russians boast as the Chinese do that they can shut down the electric grid. Russian hacking has become a subject almost every night in the news. What the Russians did was to steal information from the Democrats and publish it. They had a network to disseminate the info and hurt the Democrats. Gertz says, “Moscows government hackers released some twenty thousand internal documents hacked from the computer network of the DNC.” Under the Obama administration, we were completely defanged and have not engaged others in the computer threats or information war. America has been absent. Our enemies have figured out that it is cheaper to attack America through information warfare than having armies. Especially since America does not see it as war!

And this is perhaps the banner flying over the investigations circus: Missing from the investigation of the supposed Russia scandal is any real discussion of Russia.
China and Russia have a plan for attacking and destroying the USA, this is ignored by most American leaders. Russia is more crass than the Chinese and openly threaten nuclear war with us. What is truly a threat are the new drone subs equipped with nukes that can blow up off our shores in the Atlantic and the Pacific. Both China and Russia have upgraded their nuke fleets!

The Chinese have done a masterful job of convincing the Americans that we are friends. Chinese like the Russians task their diplomats to convince Americans that those who say they are a threat are the threat. In our political correct nation, always shoot the messenger and America do just that. China has been building a base in Djibouti on the horn of Africa in one of the most important choke points in the world, on the Red Sea. “The Chinese are the second country to cut a deal with Djibouti this year 2014 to create a military presence, joining Saudi Arabia, which made a similar agreement early this year. China has invested heavily in the area by pumping billions into Djibouti and neighboring Ethiopia. The new base will both protect their investments and give them increased military presence in one of the world’s most important trading routes.” What is troubling about this is that the Chinese have control of both ends of the Panama Canal, the South China Sea, and now in the Red Sea. They control the choke points of free trade! When China finished this base in the summer of 2017, the Chinese must be really excited and shaking their heads at the stupidity of the America government.

During the Reagan administration, we saw the government attack the Soviets calling them the evil empire and we beat them in the information war. Today you cannot say the Russians or Chinese or any Muslim group are the enemy of the USA. Even in the movies, you do not see movies made that show the Muslims or the Chinese as the enemy. We had movies all the time in the 1980’s that showed how the communist Russians were our enemy. We are not fighting in the area of ideas. The people without a vision will perish!

Iran rose in 1979 under the banner of destroying Israel and the USA. In their view the USA is the great Satan and Israel is the little Satan. Every day the Iranians are working on their goal to destroy the US and they hack into the country every day as their friends in Russia do. When they hacked into the US in Febuary of 2014, Obama kept the attack secret because he was protecting the Iranian deal. The Sands attack was not trivial it cost the company 40 million dollars. Iran stole data including sensitive employee data and social security numbers. The Iranian connection to the cyber attack was made public nineteen months later on September 10, 2015 during testimony before Congress by DNI director James Clapper. The details of Iran’s ongoing war activities against the United States are unknown to most Americans. On the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Iranian Chief of Staff Hassan Firouzabadi boasted:

“Iran is prepared for the decisive war against the U.S. and the Zionist regime. … Iran has been making plans, conducting maneuvers, and preparing its forces for this battle for years now. The first option on our table is “Death to America.” The entire people’s slogan is “Death to America” … Another option on our table is the defense of Palestine; other messages from the Iranian people to their officials are not to fear the enemy and not to fear death.

[The Americans] already want us to capitulate on the nuclear issue — but on what basis are they interfering in Iran’s affairs? If we let them, the Americans will destroy Islam and the Revolution, because they have no honor and no humanity … See how they left the helpless people of Iraq. They carry out massacres in Palestine, and support takfiris who slaughter people.”

As America makes excuses for Muslim groups like our enemies ISIS and the Muslim Brotherhood, and makes excuses for China and Russia, we are quickly weakening under the attacks and will be harmed in ways that will change American lives! This is happening because of the sins of America and the foolishness of our leaders. The more we internally attack Christianity the more the nation is weakened. Jesus said that a nation divided against itself cannot stand.

Our worst enemy is ourselves. I have never seen our nation as divided. Only the books I have read on the Civil War come close to describing what we are doing to ourselves today. I have begun to repent for the nation like Daniel did for his nation in Daniel 9. Please pray that God will forgive us for our idolatry, immorality, killing innocents, and our attacks on our ally Israel. “If my people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and will heal their land. 2 Chron.7:14”

Psalm 110: The King and Priest

Intro: I love this Psalm! It is a testimony to the greatness of the relationship between Jesus and the Father. It also gives us a prophetic look at the career of Jesus including the Kingly and Priestly roles. Jesus also uses this Psalm to teach that He is God almighty.

Psalm 110:1-3 The King Rules

The LORD is the Father and the Lord is the Son Jesus. Jesus is being addressed in the Psalm by David calling the Messiah his Lord. Jesus brought this up in Matt.22:41-46 explaining to the Pharisees that He was both David’s son and his Lord. LORD is the Hebrew name for God, Yahweh, and is the covenant name which God distinguished about Himself in Ex.3:15, ‘This is My name forever and this is My memorial Name to all generations.’ Lord is the Hebrew word Adonai and means a lord over men or it means God. Consider Gen.18:27, And Abraham replied, “Now behold, I have ventured to speak to the Lord, although I am but dust and ashes.” Dt.10:17 is important in this regard, “For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.” Jesus was equating Himself in Matt.22 to God by showing the Pharisees that He was not a man only but also the living God. Whoever says that they believe in Jesus and treat Him as less than God Almighty, they do not know Jesus.

The Kingly work of Jesus is administered by the Father. He says ‘sit and My right hand’ and He will make Jesus ‘enemies His footstool.’ This is important to the Psalm, because the rulership of Jesus is the central message. Focus your attention on the ‘yours’ that the Father is talking about. (your enemies 2x’s, your people, your power, your strong scepter, your youth) Jesus is going to have a day of power when He will take control of this world and rule it with a rod of iron!

Psalm 110:4 The Priest

This is an important passage because it teaches us how Jesus is a priest although He is not from the tribe of Levi. Melchizedek came out of nowhere in Gen.14:18 and is a mysterious figure. His order as a priest is not made known to us but is explained in Hebrews 7. Please read Hebrews 7 and note that since Melchizedek preceded Levi His priesthood is greater than Levi’s and that makes Jesus priesthood greater also! Read Zech.6:12-13 and note what you learn about Jesus as a priest? By the way, Jesus and Melchizedek are the same person!

Psalm 110:5-7 The King Fights

In vss.1-3 we had described for us the ‘day of His power’ and now it is the ‘day of His wrath.’ This is the day of which Revelation 6-19 describes for us. As a king, Jesus is going to demonstrate His right to rule by carrying out the punishment on all of His enemies on the earth. The nations of the world are resisting Jesus and claiming that He has no rights over them. This battle comes to a head and is described for us as wrath, filling the nations with corpses. In vss. 5-6 it describes the battle and vs.7 describes the peace that comes. Jesus will rule over the world and show us how it is done! It will be a great day in which the world will experience the fullness of what it always hoped for. Nation will not lift up its hand to other nations in war, there will be peace and success! Jesus describes the aftermath of the battle in Is.63:1-4 what do you observe? Notice that Jesus is a warrior who fights against His enemies and prevails.

Prophecy Update: Sept.29th 2017

I would like to talk about the basics of prophecy this week and how those basics give a roadmap to what is happening today. The basics of last day prophecies include the battle over Jerusalem, God bringing the Jews back to the land, the world resisting God bringing Jews back to the land, the rise of natural disasters because of birth pangs, and wars which were predicted.

Jerusalem: In 1967 the Jews reclaimed the city of Jerusalem. Having sovereignty over the land has brought a great conflict with the world. Luke 21:24 says, “and they will fall by the edge of the sword, and will be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” In this verse, God gives us the history of the world since 70AD when the Jews were killed in Jerusalem by the Romans when they conquered the city. The temple was destroyed and Jesus gave the timing of the city and its rule. Jerusalem will be trampled down until such a time when the Gentiles will lose sovereignty. Who has title over the city of Jerusalem, who owns the city? So much has been written on this subject through the years and the world is as divided over this as ever. Nehemiah came to rebuild the walls and gates of Jerusalem and he was opposed by Gesham the Arab, Sanballot the Horonite, and Tobiah the Ammonite. (Neh.6:1) Nothing has changed, the surrounding nations are opposed to Jews being in Jerusalem. Arabs opposed Jews in Nehemiahs day and they do it today. Nehemiah 2:20 says, “So I answered them and said to them, “The God of heaven will give us success; therefore we His servants will arise and build, but you have no portion, right or memorial in Jerusalem.”

Today it is the same way, the Arabs have no share in Jerusalem because it is not their city. Jews are on good legal ground when they say it is their city and Arabs have civil rights but not sovereign rights over the city. Palestinians claim that east Jerusalem and the old city of Jerusalem Is theirs and they hope it is the future capital of a Palestinian state. Jews say that all of the city is theirs and it is that way legally, religiously, and historically. President Abbas of the Palestinians says that the city has to be divided and Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel says that the whole city is the capital of Israel. Jews who live in east Jerusalem are not settlers or occupiers as the UN says they are. Every time we sit down at the negotiation table with the Jews and Palestinians we are third party brokers who break the scriptures. God says to not divide the land of Israel nor shall we give it away to the Gentiles!
“FOR BEHOLD, in those days and at that time when I shall reverse the captivity and restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and there will I deal with and execute judgment upon them for their treatment of My people and of My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and because they have divided My land.” [Joel 3:1-2

Notice how God says that He will judge the nations because they have divided the land. This verse is one of the most exciting in the entire Bible, because the first part of it has already been fulfilled, in our lifetime! God “reversed the captivity and restored the fortunes” of Judah and Jerusalem — Israel — on May 14, 1948! You can write this date in the margin of your Bible on Joel 3:1 and mark it “Fulfilled”. Very few other prophecies have been so exactly fulfilled in modern history. Truly, God is consistently working in the life of Israel in this modern age! As the United States continues to pressure Israel to divide her land to give large portions of it to the Palestinians, we should beware of God’s judgment against all nations who divide His Holy Land. Each of the last four presidents have pressured Israel to give up land and make compromises concerning Jerusalem. Hamas however, the terrorist group in the Gaza strip says, ‘Jerusalem fate will be decided by holy war and resistance and not by negotiations. All of Jerusalem is ours not just east Jerusalem.” According to the different Arab groups and Muslim nations all agree that Jews have no part of the whole land. It is all Muslim land and Jews have no place in the land. Even the Palestinians have a map on their flag which does not include Jews. Under Obama, they fought for east Jerusalem becoming the capital of Palestine. This is the same position for all of the nations of the UN.

A war is coming which the Bible predicts in Zechariah 12: 1-3 “The burden of the word of the LORD concerning Israel. Thus declares the LORD who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him, “Behold, I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that causes reeling to all the peoples around; and when the siege is against Jerusalem, it will also be against Judah. It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” Notice how God says that Jerusalem is a cup which causes reeling and a heavy stone. God has made it that to all of the nations of the world because they do not bow to His will. God has determined that Jerusalem is His capital of the world and that Jews should rule in the city and the land of Israel. The world is fighting the will of God!

Secondly, God has been bringing the Jews back to the land of Israel. In a conversation on religious questions, Frederic II, King of Prussia (1740-1786) asked Joachim Von Zeiten, General of the Hosars, whom he esteemed highly as a Christian for his plain and uncompromised views, ‘give me proof for the truth of the Bible in two words? To which Zeiten replied, “Your majesty, The Jews!” Since 1948 when God brought the Jews back to the land, the world has changed. Romans 11:12 says “if their transgression is riches for the world and their failure is riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fulfillment be.” For almost 1900 years, God blessed the world through the Jews even though they did not understand it. Nations that persecuted the Jews were judged by God. The Bible is clear, if you bless them you will be blessed and if you curse them you will be cursed. Nation after nation was judged by God for harming His people. Today, many nations are cursed because they have made it their business to harm Jews. The UN and her institutions are anti-Semitic. They are cursed by God and it is about to get worse.

The Bible is clear about wars that come in the last days. The most important one is the war between Russia and Israel. Russia in the last two years have moved into the position to attack Israel. Their partner in crime is Iran and the Iranians preach every week how they are going to destroy Israel and wipe them off the earth. The key passage is in Ezekiel 38-39. Attached to this prediction of war is the destruction of Damascus. God predicted the utter destruction of the capitol of Syria. Notice how Syria has never made peace with Israel and have been in a state of war with them for the last 70 years. God is bringing a terrible judgment on their nation. Millions have lost their homes, over half a million dead, and they have ceased to be a nation. Damascus is being destroyed at a quick pace. Last week, Israel bombed Damascus twice and soon they will destroy the whole city.
Consider these quotes from the last few years:

“We must constantly repeat that the root of the conflict is the very existence of the State of Israel, the refusal to recognize the State of Israel in any borders whatsoever.” [Benjamin Netanyahu, 2012]

“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it”
[ Hamas Charter, 1988 ]

“Israel is a cancerous tumour that should be cut and will be cut” … Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, 2012

The scriptures are clear about what is happening, the attitude of the nations is predicted:
“They have said, ‘Come, and let us wipe them out as a nation, that the name of Israel be remembered no more’ (Ps 83.4)
As all of these nations show hatred toward the Jews, they will all lose! What of Syria? If Israel is to be invaded from the north, then, if only from a geographic viewpoint, Syria must be involved. What of America? The term ‘all nations’ appears to be precisely that (rather than Middle East nations local to Israel) if it is to be consistent with Zechariah 14.9; the Lord cannot be King over part of the earth! Now if all world leaders attack Israel, this implies a change of policy in America, or even the absence of America on the world scene!

The increase of natural disasters such as earthquakes has been noted by many people, both secular and Christian. I hope this short survey is helpful. Remember that God is in charge of history and you have nothing to fear. Jesus told us that the last days will come at a time when the gospel was preached across the whole world. We are at that day. Jesus also said that there would be wars and rumors of wars—this is an every day experience for us. North Korea is now at war with us. We live in the most exciting days ever and I cannot wait every day to hear what is happening. I hope you long for Jesus to come back! Maranatha!
